HOW DO WE DO IT?

DONATIONS!  We raise funds for our library by selling donated books at both our ONGOING BOOK SALE, which is located inside the library, and at our popular ANNUAL BOOK SALE, which is generally held on the fourth Saturday of October in the Anderson Center.  This year’s Annual Book Sale runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, on Saturday October 23, 2010.   We also sell some rare books online and we now have book bags and other items for sale in the Library.  We also receive donations to our Gift and Memorial Fund and our Scholarship Fund.

TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

YES!  Friends of the Edmonds Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  Your donation is deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent allowed by law.  A receipt for donations is available upon request, although we cannot value the items donated.

JOIN US!

If you love books, and our projects appeal to you, we would welcome you as a member (click on “Join” above). Annual individual membership dues are $6, plus $4 for each additional family member.

Who are the Friends of the Edmonds Library?

MEETINGS are generally held on the fourth* Thursday of each month in the Plaza Room above the Library - 650 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020. Meetings start with a coffee get together at 1:00 PM.  At 1:30 PM we feature a speaker discussing a topic of interest, followed by a short business meeting.

*Exceptions:  No July, August or December meetings.  The November annual business meeting is held the third Thursday.  In June we host our annual luncheon to honor our hard-working members and our scholarship recipients.
